A bit about me…
Working as an artist and educator over the years has given me a broad base of interests in the area of art and art education.
My painting practice focuses on nature and is strongly influenced by the landscape of the west of Ireland. Most of my painting exhibit a greater interest in colour than form.
I engage in a process approach to painting; this has been influenced by my studies of socially engaged art and art therapy.
My research interests are in participatory arts processes in contemporary art education in primary schools.
